Title of Event: Blame it on the Brain-Emotional Intelligence and the Risk Management World
Description: The changing landscape of healthcare is occurring at an incredible pace. Add in the COVID-19 pandemic and it often feels like those of us tasked with managing risk are barely treading water. This session discusses how to gain and utilize emotional intelligence (EQ) skills to support risk managers in successfully leading their organizations in mitigating risk. Unlike IQ, Emotional Intelligence consists of a set of skills and strategies which can be learned. EQ is a critical skill set for risk managers when working with leadership, co-workers, employees, physicians, patients, and families. Mastery of EQ is also crucial for career advancement.
